0_0 Wow.

You review alot of my stuff, and it's time i reviewed at least more than 4 or 5 tracks or w/e it is.

This is so nice! The pads are great, piano is nicely reverbed and sounds intense, and the soft percussion is great!

5'ed + Downloaded.

Cheers!

Karco responds:

It definitely is one of my better ones though some say the original, unextended version is better. But glad you like it, and thanks for the review, Pulstate! :)

Is It Really Good? Attention Span Espionage

Ok, firstly mate, i'm not a 0 voter or an artist hater or w/e you call it.

I'm an honest 14 year old trance producer, that gives his honest feelings and doesn't mess about or look for drama.

The main melody of course is brilliant, and the notes are perfectly aligned.

But, for 286, now 287 reviews and 21,273 downloads, is this track really one of the best or THE best on NG?

You've got some unbelievable mastering and mixing skills, because thats one thing i pick out or accuse artists of lacking in, but this doesn't happen here, this is nicely mastered and never too loud or too quiet while keeping it's unique and driving passionate energy! I really respect this mastering/mixing.

The track starts like, the track, '' Have You Ever Felt Mellow? '', with some bells, and nice FX that unnoticably but realistically grabs the attention of the listener VERY VIOLENTLY.

This brings me to my next point, which has to be the biggest question in the trance section of NG EVER!

-> Is this the best attention span fufiller on NG, or is this the best Trance track on NG?

When people read to this point, my stuff is probably all 0/5 because they now think i'm a hater.

BOUNC3, i'm not saying attention span grabber is bad, this is what will earn you € mate, because nobody has a good attention span anymore, escpecially people my age, you play a nice 8 minute club buildup masterpiece, and after 8 seconds, they are like, '' I like it, whats next? '' I feel like screaming, FFS, YOU IGNORANT PRICK! I just feel this is 3-4 minutes of attention grabbing, while having common commercial synths and basses playing in the background. :)

Now, we actually do have to address the fact that, these synths and basses don't come easy, you have done amazing work to create them and master them and make them sound like the ones the pros use, but they aren't noticed mate. Most people who reviewed this dont say, '' Great use of instruments, and i like your mastering job. '' No, they say, '' THIS TRACK OWNS, OMG! '' Can you see where i'm coming from?

Now what did i think? (Finally)

It's a nice radio edit, with a lovely melody, a very nice beat, lovely chords, lovely synths and a nice driving bassline, that was worked hard on.

This raises a question to me, i know i respect you musically because of this, but do i respect you as a person? '' It's nice to be important, but important to be nice. '' Why not show me respect, as i've written you the longest review you might have ever gotten.

This is a great club track that DJ's would love to play out to thousands of drug influenced, raving, crazy individuals, but when i listen to it, i'm listening from the melodic, contemplative, intelligent end.

I enjoyed this, and wish you the best musically, in your bright future.

Cheers mate.

Woah, I'm glad someone brought this review to my attention. You are of course right on MANY points and if someone would 0 vote you for being honest they must be fucked up.

I'm touched about what you said about my mixing/mastering. there is oen thing though, I wasn't any good at none of them when I made this (not to be modest) and I haven't mastered this at all. This track is certainly not the best trance track on NG, it is basicly a track from another genre that got misplaced on accident (ye I'm serious). This is a HARD DANCE TRACK and NOT a trance track =O. This is old and since no one starts out pro I can't argue with you about the instruments. At the time i thought they rocked, but as always people evolve. I have no idea what people like so much about this but im still ahppy about it, but i'd easily amke somethign better mixed and mastered now =S......Now I'm off to review ur pieces with just as honest feedback as you gave me. Thanks and MUCH respect for your honesty.

Note: I never planned to get this much attention for this track.. It's as if im blessed =).

Note 2: This is to everyone else who reads this. If ANYONE 0 votes him for being honest you suck ass!

Nice!

Cascada, like!

That clap is sexual, too.

But the melody sounds sooo familiar!

Cheers.

dj-Nate responds:

Yeah, it was some midi off of NS2K. Haha. I just mixed around a few notes here and there to give it a nicer feel and this is what came out.

What?

Sorry mate, but this isint heart warming, it's to be truthful, quite horrible!

The pads are too loud, the beat isin't right and it ends all of a sudden!

It is not trance either, but i'm sure your new!

Cheers.

TurkProduction responds:

Why thank you

Demanding, Dark, Techno!

Firstly, thanks alot for the review! Second, this is not trance, it's techno, but anyway onto the review!

Like that dark, simple but effective synth, the track is short so a short review will follow.

I like the way you introduce the track, nice little touch!

Beat is well mixed, the cymbal is well mixed, is not to treble'd!

Haha, i'm making up words now! :'(

Overall, i actually really enjoyed this, maybe the goths would listen to this type of techno? :D

It's soo dark!

Cheers.

0_0 at parts, >:( at parts!

WHAT a beat! I heard this beat before, but never used it, but you have used it unbelievably well here, it really drives the track on mate! You even used it as a breakbeat, >_< ! When the track starts and it pumps for the first time, the listener has to be ready to get into the track.

Although, when the track was flowing along nicely, it was just beats and some gates, more melodies would have been nice! The synths were very good, maybe lacking a professional feeling but very nicely used, i must say!

Is this Come With Me, by Special - D? Doesn't sound like it at all!
The main melody comes in and it's pretty demanding, it has a sense of purpose and i like this.

On a more negative note, the bass was good but really really un professional sounding, which is a little disappointing, if you used Reason i'd send you some high quality professional and commercial basses i've made over the years, well 2 years. :p

So overall, this is a nice track, with little mistakes here and there, and a good purpose and sense of direction.

All these views come from what i think record labels look for, but maybe you don't want to get signed?!

This is ok too, wait!

I just noticed something, when the breakbeat comes in, it goes out of time and tune with the rest of the track for a split second, this will cost you, and will most certainly be picked up by those 0 voters, who are *******.

I've had all my work 0'd recently, very annoying, NG should have a better system, ah we'll see.

So, i enjoyed this, and have downloaded and 5'd it for you.

Cheers!

Yeah! (Echo) (Echo)

Wow, nice intro, the guy's voice at the start was pretty cool, you've done this before, and it seems to be done in most UK Hardcore tracks, it's like :

PHRASE ! : Pause : Climax.

When the synth comes in, it's great, it's got some nice filtering touches and some lovely reverb, and some lovely mixing too!

This so far is mastered and mixed better than all your others, now here comes the beat! Ahh, it's cool, maybe should be a bit more punchy, but still very classy.

Ah, is that vox i hear? Very nice! Where did you get them? The bass is one of those simple ones thats easy to make but it just seems to fit in this track so well it's unbelievable.

The saying : '' Good bass, bad track, bad bass, good track, and then there's, bad bass, lights up the track. ''

This would indeed apply here. The climax is pretty good, everything flows, nothing is too loud or too w/e. W/e the the criticism is these days, usually i fault mastering and mixing because i feel it should be top priority in tracks made on computers. You have done it well here, i must say!

You only used the vox once though, just a quick, '' Listen to your heart, '' which is a bit disappointing, maybe if you have some just as it builds up to the climax, it would have been cool, but never mind!

I just feel you could have built up to the climax better overall, now i notice some nice chords! Little jingles that flash in and out, nice touch indeed! When they change octave, it's very cool indeed! Wait, at the second climax, the lead fades out and abruptly starts another climax, good idea, bad execution, maybe you could have done this part a bit better.

This is a decent production, which is very well mastered and mixed, YET again i mention this, but it really is!

Just a more punchy beat would have suited it, try VEC2 Clubby 11, this is one that the Pro's use alot, or maybe VEC2 Clubby 43, which some low end, this is a possibility too.

I enjoyed this and i enjoyed writing this review,

hope to hear some more quality tracks from you!

Cheers mate. :)

Like The Original!

This sounds pro man, like the original!

Althought the woman in Cascada has no talent, she sings what Manian wrote and then gets all the fame when DJ Manian is the real hero, i'm sickened to see this type of ******* nonsense!

Well done here, a full version would be nice!

GroundForce responds:

thhhhanks!! ^^

"Well done here, a full version would be nice!"

Catchy!

Originality // Score - 8 :

Pretty good, was very catchy, a little repetitive, but still nice.

Diversity // Score - 9 :

I'm generous to give you 9 to give you some confidence, but change it up a little more!

Clarity // Score - 9 :

Not much to say, just lacking a little something.

Effort// Score - 10 :

Everyone tries their best at whatever they do, and unless i can hear effortless work, i'm giving 10.

Overall // Score - 10 :

Enjoyed.

Extra Comment // Please check out my audio!

reganadhd responds:

I will difinitely check out ur songs. and thanks for the review. i would like to see more of these. =)

Repetitive!

The beat is pretty good, but i think you should have the main melody a bit, i know it's cool, but why not change it so it progresses?

The EQing was poor but not toooo noticable!

Cheers, check out my audio sometime!
